Gifford Pinchot National Forest snow report 01/07

Upper Wind River — Oldman Pass, Koshko, McClellan Meadow and Lone Butte sno-parks all have about 4 feet of snow.

Skamania County officials reported Tuesday there was about 4 inches of new snow at the Wind River sno-parks. Road No. 30 has been plowed.

Government Mineral Springs have about 18 inches of snow.

Mount St. Helens — Marble Mountain Sno-Park has 62 inches of snow. Cougar Sno-Park has 48 inches. Road No. 83 is snow-covered and icy.

June Lake has 70 inches of snow, according to the automated recording site.

Mount Adams — Atkisson Sno-Park has 3 feet of snow. The snowmobile routes were groomed on Tuesday.

Flattop Sno-Park has 3 to 4 feet of snow and the routes were groomed Wednesday. Road No. 88 is closed north of Big Tire Junction due to a washout.

Pineside Sno-Park has 2 to 3 feet of snow. The trails are scheduled for grooming Friday or Saturday.  SnowKing has 4 feet of snow and will be groomed Friday or Saturday.
