Battle Ground jumped to a 19-3 lead and cruised to a 4A Greater St. Helens League win at home.

One day after losing to Camas, the Tigers responded with a high-energy performance.

“I thought we got outhustled and outworked by Camas,” Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong said. “Before the game, we talked about how we’ve got to come out with energy and win the 50-50 balls. I was really excited with how they responded.”

Shane Hatch scored a game-high 14 points for Battle Ground (5-6, 1-2). Renato Mendoza added 12 points and Kyle Cahoon added 11. Daelon Floyd had seven rebounds and five assists.

Nick Morse scored nine points to lead Heritage (1-9, 0-4).
