Auction raises money for scholarship program

Esther Short — For the Southwest Washington Contractors Association’s annual holiday auction, TigerStop donated a SawGear automated stop, which was won by Jesse Harvey, a Vancouver resident and sales representative for Sherwin-Williams. The tool helps with measuring and cutting materials without the need for a metal tape, and Harvey plans on using it for flooring and trim in his own home. The tool was delivered to Harvey on Dec. 18, and he wasted little time before trying it out. The auction brought in more than $15,000 for the association’s scholarship program.
