Early turnovers put the visiting Trappers into a hole they could not dig out of in the non-league game.

Tumwater led 21-11 at the end of one quarter and was up by 16 at halftime. Fort Vancouver was never closer than 11 points in the second half.

Fort coach James Ensley said the Trappers had 12 turnovers in the first half. Ensley added that Tumwater’s work on the offensive boards helped the home team take command.
