Boys basketball: King’s Way Christian 58, Castle Rock 45

The host Knights improved to 4-0 in the 1A Trico League by controlling the middle two quarters.

King’s Way (8-4 overall) outscored Castle Rock 35-18 over the second and third periods to build an 18-point lead. Darion Lycksell hit a pair of 3-pointers and the Knights hit four treys as a team in a 20-point second quarter that gave King’s Way an eight-point halftime edge.

Kienan Walter led King’s Way with 20 points and Kyle Gonzales had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

For Castle Rock (7-4, 2-2), Bryce Desarmo scored 17 points and Brock Johnson added 11.
