Ethan Unger scored 20 of the Papermakers’ first 22 points to help Camas to the 4A Greater St. Helens League win at Battle Ground.

The Tigers struggled on offense — missing 16 consecutive shots during one stretch in the first half as an early 10-point Battle Ground lead turned into an eight-point halftime lead for Camas. The Tigers managed only two points in the second quarter.

In the second half, Camas (4-7, 1-1) made timely shots every time Battle Ground (4-6, 0-2) made a run.

“We played pretty good defense. We just shot the ball poorly,” Battle Ground coach Wes Armstrong said. The Tigers made 12 of 46 shots from the floor.

Battle Ground led 12-2 early before the shots stopped dropping.

Unger finished with 28 points for Camas and Jake Hansel scored 11. For Battle Ground, Daelon Floyd scored 12 points.
