A free seminar on steelhead fishing in Southwest Washington will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Sportsmen’s Warehouse, 11505 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd.
Instructor Tyler Hicks will cover the timing of runs locally, how to read water and three steelhead fishing methods: float, drift and hardware.
Following the seminar will be workshop to teach angler how to make “yarnies,’’ which are steelhead lures made from yarn and thread.
