WOODLAND — Harper’s Tackle and Outdoor is hosting a free spring chinook salmon fishing contest through April 30.
The fish can come from any local stream, but must be brought to the store at 267 Millard St. gutted and gilled.
The store is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. Beginning March 15, hours will be extended to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
The heaviest fish will win a fishing rod. At least 25 entries are needed before prizes will be awarded.
