Vancouver police ringed the Fisher’s Landing area for a bandit who struck a US Bank branch there at noon Monday.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, a man entered the bank, presented a teller with a note, took the cash and left on foot.

Officers with a police dog responded to the bank, at 16415 S.E. McGillivray Blvd., and searched the area to find the robber, but the man was not located.

The police described him as a white man in his late 30s to early 40s, wearing a beanie and a silver and blue jacket.

The robber was thought to have ridden southbound away from the bank on a bicycle, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Police asked anyone with information about the suspect to call Detective Neil Martin at 360-487-7423.
