A driver crashed her car partway through the wall of a Safeway store Monday at Andresen Road and Northeast 63rd Street in the Walnut Grove area.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Chuck Christensen said the driver, described as an older woman, was not hurt. No one else suffered serious injuries.

“She was pulling out of the parking lot and her foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas pedal,” he said.

Alan Lindquist, who was nearby when the crash occurred, said firefighters and sheriff’s deputies were on scene shortly after the crash, which happened around 1:45 p.m.

The woman’s Toyota Avalon hit the wall near the store’s cafe area. Christensen said no citations were issued.
