Washington State University Vancouver will host an open house to discuss proposed changes to C-Tran service. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 10 at Firstenburg Student Commons, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.

People may drop in to comment at any time.

C-Tran staff will be available to answer questions. Parking is available at meters or in the Blue Daily Pay lot for $3.

C-Tran has identified 11 routes for possible changes beginning in September, including Route 19 serving campus. The proposed change for Route 19 includes Sunday service to the campus.

People may email comments to C-Tran at feedback@c-tran.com. Public feedback will be used to finalize the proposed service changes, which will go before the C-Tran board at an April public hearing.

The proposed concepts would retain most of C-Tran’s routing but would service some locations differently. In addition to the changes to existing routes, C-Tran has drawn up four potential new routes and is considering dropping two others. C-Tran is preparing for the opening of The Vine, a bus rapid transit system now under construction and scheduled to be completed by late 2016.
