Clark County Public Health urges people and their pets to avoid water in and around Lacamas Lake.

The warning stems from a sewage spill near 4700 N.W. Pacific Rim Boulevard in Camas. The leak was repaired early Friday afternoon.

Humans and animals should avoid contacting the water from the area of the spill and the water downstream, as well. Public Health recommends staying away from Dwyer Creek, Lacamas Creek and Lacamas Lake. The department has also posted warning signs in affected areas.

The Washington Department of Ecology is coordinating the spill response. Public Health will notify the public when the water is again safe.
