Camas police officers arrested Wednesday a Vancouver Police officer on suspicion of domestic violence.
Camas officers arrested Gerardo Gutierrez, 43, of Vancouver, on suspicion of two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault, according to the Camas Police Department.
The Vancouver Police Department received a report Sunday of a domestic violence allegation involving one of its officers, the Camas police said. On Tuesday, the Vancouver police asked the Camas Police Department to investigate.
Following his arrest, Gutierrez was booked into the Clark County Jail.
Gutierrez, who is currently assigned as a school resource officer, has been placed on administrative leave. He is an 8-year veteran of the Vancouver Police Department and had previously been employed with the Los Angeles Police Department, according to the Camas police.
