RaeAnn Allen of Washougal girls basketball was voted The Columbian’s high school winter sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Feb. 13.

Allen collected 50 percent of the 12,928 votes cast by fans to beat out Maksim Dolbinin of Heritage swimming, who had 38 percent.

Allen played a pair of all-around games, averaging 13 points, five rebounds, seven steals and four assists in two wins.

The other nominees were Kylee Tjensvold of Ridgefield gymnastics, Bryce Mulder of Woodland boys basketball and Jake Rogers of Battle Ground wrestling.

Nominees and the online ballot are posted at www.360preps.com each Monday and voting continues until 8 p.m. Thursday.

No athlete can be nominated for the honor in consecutive weeks.
