2 Clark College students receive grants

Battle Ground — The Battle Ground chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization awarded grants to two local women studying at Clark College. Melissa Macaree, who is enrolled in the nursing program, was awarded $1,800 for educational expenses. Jaime Taylor, who is associated with the early childhood education program, was awarded $1,500 to assist in furthering her education. The Philanthropic Educational Organization was established to celebrate the advancement of women, and help fund women’s education through scholarships, grants, awards and stewardships.
