One person was injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on state Highway 502 west of Battle Ground, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The crash occurred at 1:15 p.m. when an eastbound 2004 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Sheila K. Michalios, 50, of Yacolt crossed the center line near Milepost 5 and crashed into the passenger side of a 1996 Toyota 4Runner driven by Matthew E. Briggs, 29, of Battle Ground, according to the WSP.

Passenger Ruth Briggs, 29, of Battle Ground was injured. She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where she was treated and released. Neither Michalios or Matthew Briggs were injured, the WSP reported.

A WSP bulletin said drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. Michalios was booked into Clark County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
