Drivers planning to use southbound Interstate 205 in east Vancouver should expect delays on Monday night due to highway construction work.
Up to two lanes on southbound I-205 between Padden Parkway and the new Northeast 18th Street interchange, still being constructed, will close for overhead sign installation.
A single-lane closure will be from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. A double-lane closure will be in place from 11 a.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Additionally, there will be brief periodic slowdowns of southbound I-205 through the project area from midnight until 5 a.m. Tuesday.
The work is part of the $40 million I-205 Mill Plain Interchange to NE 18th Street project. It’s scheduled to be finished later this year.
