Kylie Greenwald hit a key 3-pointer down the stretch and Karli Oliver hit a pair a free throws in the final minute to help the Ridgefield girls basketball team seal a 42-37 win over R.A. Long in 2A Greater St. Helens League tiebreaker game on Tuesday.
Ridgefield advances to play Tumwater at 7 p.m. Wednesay in a district tournament play-in game.
“Ridgefield hasn’t been to the playoffs in about five years, so there are some excited people up here,” Ridgefield coach Tom Klutz said.
Sarah Jenkins scored 14 points and made 5 of 6 free throws. Anna Murphy added five steals.
“In the second half, we started to make some shots and our press started to wear them down a bit,” Klutz said. “We still haven’t play a four-quarter game yet this year, but we played 3 1/2 good quarters tonight.”
