At Washougal 57, Ridgefield 45 — Collin Prangley gave the Panthers an early spark and finished with a game-high 14 points as Washougal secured fifth place in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League finale.
The Spudders (7-13, 4-8 2A GSHL) led 7-1 then 9-3 before Prangley came off the bench to hit a 3-point and convert a three-point play to tie the game.
The game was then close through three quarters before Washougal (9-11, 5-7) took over, going 8 of 10 from thre free throw line in the final period. Daniel Davis was 5 of 6.
Prangley also had eight rebounds. Josh Bischoff had eight points and nine rebounds, while Davis and Curtis Crosby each added 11 points. Davis added three steals.
“Bischoff had a great game for us inside,” Washougal coach Malcolm Estes said. “He played very good post defense.”
Auston DeHaan led Ridgefield with 14 points, including eight of his team’s nine in the fourth quarter, and Louden Wardius added 10.
“It was a tight game until toward the end of the fourth quarter,” Estes said. “We played really solid defense in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter.”
Washougal plays Thursday at W.F. West in a district tournament play-in game. The winner faces league champion Mark Morris on Saturday in district play.
