1. Classic comedy

After being divorced by their wives, sloppy sportswriter Oscar Madison and neat, uptight Felix Ungar decide to move in together. But the mismatched roommates drive each other crazy, much to the amusement of their friends at the weekly poker game — and to the audience at Love Street Playhouse’s production of “The Odd Couple.” The show will run through Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays at 126 Love St., Woodland. Tickets are $15 to $18. The opening show on Feb. 5 will be a dinner performance, with tickets costing $45. 360-907-9996 or www.lovestreetplayhouse.com

2. All chocolate

It will be a sweet night in Camas for its First Friday event, a “Chocolate Affair to Remember.” Participating businesses will serve chocolate treats, and there will be candy guessing games for prizes. In honor of the last season of “Downton Abbey,” visitors are encouraged to dress in their best English manor attire. The original “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” will play at 6:45 p.m. at the Liberty Theatre along with “Chocolat” at 3 and 8:30 p.m. There also will be wine and food specials at various locations. The event runs 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 along Northeast Fourth Avenue in Camas. The event is free, movie tickets are $4.50, and tasting fees may apply. 360-216-7378 or www.downtowncamas.com

3. Light the night

Portland Winter Light Festival will transform the space near the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry into a glowing space of animated projections, light dances, art installations and performances, all created by local artists. This all-ages community event includes lectures and activities from 5 to 11 p.m. Feb. 5 and Feb. 6 at OMSI, 1945 S.E. Water Ave., Portland. Admission is free. http://pdxwlf.com

4. Friendly microbes

Lisa Sardinia, a professor of biology at Pacific University, will ask “Do These Bacteria Make Me Look Fat?” during her Science on Tap lecture. She will discuss the wealth of microbes that exist in our bodies, especially in our guts, and the roles they play in eating and health. Enjoy the local science lecture aimed at adults starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at Kiggins Theatre, 1011 Main St., Vancouver. Admission is a $8 to $10 suggested cover. www.viaproductions.org

5. Hollywood insight

As a movie critic for the Philadelphia Inquirer for more than 20 years, Steven Rea has covered the movie industry and its stars on the national and international stages. In his Professional Writers Series lecture — “What Makes Hollywood Hip?” — he will talk about his career, successes and challenges. Rea is the author of “Hollywood Rides a Bike: Cycling with the Stars,” and the upcoming “Hollywood Cafe: Coffee with the Stars.” The lecture begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 in Room 6 of the MultiMedia/Classroom Building at Washington State University Vancouver, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. Admission is free. 360-816-2742 or http://events.vancouver.wsu.edu/steven-rea-what-makes-hollywood-hip
