Mariner pitchers, mascot host assembly at elementary school

Ellsworth Springs — A few Seattle Mariners and the Mariner Moose stopped at Ellsworth Elementary School on Jan. 21 as part of the team’s 2016 caravan. Tony Zych and Nathan Karns, along with lead broadcaster Rick Rizzs, spoke to a gym full of students at a DREAM Team assembly. The Mariner Moose’s DREAM Team program teaches students to follow these principles: Drug-free, Respect for yourself and others, Education through reading, Attitude and Motivation to achieve your dreams.
