A Vancouver woman was taken to a hospital Friday afternoon following a three-car pileup crash on Interstate 205 in Vancouver.

The Washington State Patrol said Danielle P. Alioth, 34, was heading north around 3:20 p.m., south of state Highway 500, when she and another driver slowed for traffic ahead.

A third driver, Brush Prairie’s Joan L. Sherop, 67, was in a minivan behind Alioth.

The state patrol said Sherop was unable to stop in time and crashed into Alioth’s Dodge Neon.

In turn, Alioth’s vehicle was propelled into a pickup.

Alioth was the only one injured, according to the state patrol, and she was taken to a hospital. Her condition was unavailable.

Troopers cited Sherop for following too closely, according to the state patrol.
