Boys basketball: Battle Ground 70, Sheridan, Wyo. 65

Eilijah Parker scored 15 points, and freshman Brendan Beal scored 15 off the bench to help the Tigers to the win in the at the Gillette (Wyo.) Energy Classic.

“I was proud of our bench play,” Tigers coach Wes Armstrong said. “It was a great team effort today. Sheridan is a physical team and we handled it.”

Battle Ground (5-2) will play Roosevelt of Portland at 11:45 a.m. today.
