Salmon Creek — Legacy Health employees donated 37,246 pairs of socks as part of the company’s sock drive. The goal for the drive, now in its second year, was two pairs of new socks donated per employee, or 26,000 pairs of socks, and the final total exceeded that goal by 43 percent, according to a release from Legacy. Employees at Legacy Salmon Creek contributed 3,500 pairs of socks to the drive. The socks will be distributed to 18 community partners who work with people who are homeless and those experiencing economic hardship, or will be left at Legacy’s community closets and emergency departments to serve patients who are in need of socks.
