Orchards — Heritage High School was named one of “America’s Healthiest Schools” by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation and Kaiser Permanente, and was honored for the achievement Dec. 11 and 12 in San Diego, Calif.
Heritage was one of two schools in the state to earn the distinction, along with Mark Morris High School in Longview.
The schools picked were judged on a variety of topics, such as availability of nutritious foods and access to quality physical education opportunities.
