Bryce Mulder had 22 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks as Woodland opened 2A GSHL play with a win.
Mulder, a 6-foot-11 center, led a solid defensive effort for Woodland (4-1, 1-0). The Beavers outscored Hockinson 17-5 in the third quarter of a game rescheduled from Monday due to weather. The game origianlly scheduled at Hockinson was moved to Woodland.
“The big thing was the team defense,” Woodland coach Andrew Johnson said. “The kids did a great job of executing their assignments.”
Palmer Dinehart added 14 points and eight rebounds for Woodland.
Peyton Brammer’s seven points led Hockinson (1-5, 0-1).
