Vancouver – The Clark Regional Wastewater District recently finished a nearly $2 million sewer project along Highway 99 between N.E. 63rd Street and N.E. 78th Street.
The project was finished on time and on budget. It included the installation of about 3,400 feet of sewer, which replaced a nearly 50-year-old line.
The project was funded by the district’s restoration and replacement account, which is generated by consumer rates.
In a news release, district officials say they appreciate the patience and flexibility of local businesses and residents.
“This investment will provide continued reliable and affordable service for the customers in Hazel Dell for another 50-plus years, while at the same time protecting public health and the environment,” said Robin Krause, district engineer.
