ESD seeks applicants for regional committee

Longview – The Educational Service District 112 Board of Directors is seeking applications to fill a vacant position on the Regional Committee on School District Organization.

The seat covers District 2, which includes the following districts: Ocean Beach, Naselle-Grays River Valley, Wahkiakum, Longview, Castle Rock, Toutle Lake, and parts of Kelso.

The Regional Committee position will finish out the last two years of a four-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2017, through Dec. 31, 2018.

The volunteers committee represents six Southwest Washington counties, and makes decisions on boundaries, consolidation and dissolution of school districts.

Interested applicants must be registered voters in the district they wish to represent. Applicants should request an application packet by contacting Terri Tangalin-Piedra at 360-952-3317 and providing their street address and voter precinct number. Completed application packets should be sent to Educational Service District 112, Attention: Terri Tangalin-Piedra, 2500 NE 65th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98661 no later than 5 p.m., Jan. 31.
