Fircrest — As part of Columbia Credit Union’s Veterans Appreciation Vehicle Loan promotion, the union donated $13,900 to two nonprofit agencies which work with veterans: Vancouver Community Military Appreciation Committee and Home with Heroes.

The promotion ran Oct. 17 through Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and for every new or used vehicle loan of $15,000 or more opened direct or online, Columbia Credit Union pledged to donate $100 to each organization. Both the committee and Home with Heroes received a check for $6,950 on Dec. 1.

“Vancouver CMAC and Home with Heroes are two great nonprofit organizations that honor and thank our local veterans for their service through community events and outdoor activities,” Steve Kenny, president and CEO of Columbia Credit Union, said in a release from the company.
