Vancouver may see another round of snow Wednesday, according to a special weather statement by the National Weather Service

The weather service warns that a winter storm system will hit Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington Wednesday.

The impact will be somewhat unpredictable, the agency said, with uncertainty about precipitation type and amounts.

Light snow is expected in fall in the northwest portions of the region Wednesday afternoon or evening, while the southern region is expected to see a mix of snow and freezing rain and the southeast region will likely see heavier precipitation.

That may change to mostly snow Wednesday night, according to the weather service.

Weather officials say that there is still some uncertainty in the prediction and that a lot can change between when the statement was issued, early Tuesday morning, and the anticipated winter weather Wednesday.

Today’s forecast calls for mostly sunny weather with a high near 39 degrees and a low around 27 degrees.
