Girls basketball: King’s Way Christian 49, Columbia Adventist 42

MacKenzie Ellertson hit 7 of 9 free throws in the fourth quarter en route to scoring 20 points and rallying King’s Way to an non-league win.

Columbia Adventist led 27-19 at halftime before the Knights found their shot.

“We started out pretty slow,” King’s Way coach Charlie Boyce said. “We hadn’t practiced since Wednesday and it showed. But once the girls started hits some shots, they got going.”

Hannah Moats added 10 points for the Knights (2-0) and Zoe Feldman had nine.
