Although forecasters at the National Weather Service expect temperatures to rise to the mid-40s Friday, pockets of ice and freezing drizzle are likely Friday morning, prompting some schools to delay their start times Friday.

The Green Mountain School District will start with a two-hour delay. A field trip for fourth- and fifth-graders has been cancelled, as was hot lunch service; students will need to come with a sack lunch.

St. Joseph Catholic School will start two hours late. Morning preschool and extended care programs are canceled.

King’s Way Christian school will start two hours late, with no morning kindergarten or pre-K.

Gardner School of Arts & Sciences will open at 10 a.m.

Cornerstone Christian Academy will open at 10 a.m.
