Woodland — At the end of the last school year, Green Mountain School District employee Suzette Milkowski-McGraw retired from the district after 38 years of service. She was recently invited back for a party Nov. 22 celebrating her time at the district, during which she held multiple positions, including teaching art and working as the office manager. During her time at Green Mountain, she saw the school grow from two classrooms to 10, worked with 17 different superintendents and was the longest-serving staff member in the district. She saw huge changes in technology: The school once had one computer in the office, a Commodore 64, and now there is a media center and classroom computers and laptops. Milkowski-McGraw worked with every program at the school, went on field trips, wrote grants, organized student sports teams and carnivals, scheduled transportation and oversaw the lunch program.
