Here are the nominees for The Columbian winter sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Dec. 3.

Athletes may win the honor once in during the regular season and cannot be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday. Because of Thursday’s snow day (which closed local schools), results will be published in Saturday’s edition of The Columbian. Photos still need to be secured.

NINA EVANS, MOUNTAIN VIEW GYMNASTICS: Evans won the vault and floor exercise as well as the all-around (34.25) in a meet at Northpointe.

JACOB HJORT, COLUMBIA RIVER BOYS BASKETBALL: Hjort scored 28 points, including the game-winner, vs. Tumwater and added 16 in a win over Fort Vancouver.

REAGAN LOREY, HUDSON’S BAY BOWLING: Lorey averaged 200 over six games last week, including a high game of 234.

JACKSON MCKINNEY, SKYVIEW WRESTLING: McKinney won the 195-pound division with one pin and one technical fall at the John Birbeck Invitational.
