A strong defensive effort led Fort Vancouver to its first win of the season, a home victory over Columbia-White Salmon.
Jocelyn Salavea led the Trappers (1-2) with 12 points. But Fort’s defense was key, holding the Bruins (0-4) to just seven points in the second half.
“We got a few steals,” Fort coach Arlisa Hinton said. “We were very aggressive on the ball.”
Nine different players scored for Fort.
