Fire at Jason Lee Middle School outbuilding extinguished

Fire at portable building started in an electrical panel

Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire that damaged a portable at Jason Lee Middle School on Monday night.

At 9:57 p.m., Clark County Fire District 6 were dispatched to a fire alarm at Jason Lee Middle School, located at 8500 N.W. Ninth Ave. in Hazel Dell. The fire reportedly started in an electrical panel attached to a portable building. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, according to 911 dispatchers.

Firefighters were still inspecting the building late Monday night.
