Battle Ground — Amy Tanska, a former director at the Mount St. Helens Institute, is the new executive director of the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce, the chamber announced Friday.
Tanska takes over for Paul Montague, who is leaving to start a tax preparation business in the Orchards neighborhood. Montague said in a statement that he was grateful for his two years at the chamber and was confident Tanska would lead well.
As executive director, Tanska will try to grow businesses and nurture the economic climate in Battle Ground.
The chamber will host a meet-and-greet with Tanska at its holiday luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E Main St., Battle Ground.
