Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey is encouraging residents to renew their December vehicle tabs early. According to a news release, the state Department of Licensing is replacing its 30-year-old computer system used to register and license vehicles and other vessels. The installation of the new computer system will affect online renewals and access to licensing offices.
Online vehicle and vessel services will cease on Tuesday, and will not be available again until Dec. 12.
On Dec. 9, the auditor’s downtown licensing office will close at 2 p.m., and the subagent offices in Clark County will close at 4 p.m. Kimsey is recommending that vehicle owners with December tabs renew them early and complete the process online by Tuesday or by visiting a licensing office by Dec. 9.
