Girls basketball: Columbia River 50, Mountain View 30

Emma Fisk scored 18 points to go with eight rebounds as the Chieftains recovered from an opening-season defeat.

Also for River, Jordan Ryan had 10 points, and Kate Kraft had seven points, eight rebounds, six assists and six steals.

Mountain View was stuck on three points to start the game until about halfway through the second quarter.

“We defended really well to make it difficult on them,” Columbia River coach Carl Click said.

Mountain View was led in scoring by Katie Hurst’s 10 points.
