Alex Schumacher, Taylor Harbertson and KB Fesehazion picked up the slack for a shorthanded Skyview team in a non-league win over Evergreen.
Harbertson scored 11 points, including a 3-pointer with one minute to play that gave the Storm a 54-50 lead. Schumacher added a late basket to give him a game-high 15 points. Fesehazion had 13 points and seven rebounds.
“We’re still missing about five guys, who are coming off the football team,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “So we had a hodge-podge of guys out there. It was a gutsy effort with Alex, Taylor and KB picking up the bulk of the minutes as our most experienced guys on the floor.”
Dustin Nettles had 11 points and Payton Monda and Tre Ratcliff added 10 each for the Plainsmen.
