Police are working to identify a suspect after two people were hurt in a shooting at a Vancouver bar early Thursday morning.

Officers were called to QuarterDeck Bar, 4300 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., just before 1 a.m. after an unidentified person outside fired a gun into the bar, Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

Two patrons were injured, Kapp said. One suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, and the other sustained less serious injuries and was expected to be released from the hospital on Thursday, she said.

Police do not have a description of the suspect and do not know if the armed person was on foot or in a vehicle, Kapp said.

Names of the victims and the hospital where they were being treated was not released for the victims’ protection, Kapp said.

Police did not offer any more details about the incident on Thursday.

Detectives with the agency’s major crimes unit are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call 360-487-7399.
