Vancouver — The city of Vancouver is scheduled to improve Fir Garden, Diamond and Oakbrook neighborhood parks in the next couple of weeks.

The plan is to add new features and repair existing structures. Construction is expected to be complete in November. The parks will remain open while the improvements are made.

The city plans to install new picnic tables, benches and half basketball courts at Diamond park and Fir Garden park, according to information from the city.

Fir Garden park is at Northeast 155th Avenue at Northeast 42nd Street, and Diamond park is at 3312 N.E. 148th Ave. in Vancouver.

Oakbrook Park, at 3103 N.E. 99th St., is scheduled to have portions of the interior pathways replaced.
