Vancouver — The men’s homeless shelter Share House and Lincoln Place, an apartment complex for the chronically homeless, are hosting a neighborhood cleanup from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday. The public is invited to bring gloves and help clean up the area.

“A neighborhood clean-up creates a sense of community and pride among the residents of a neighborhood,” said Katherine Garrett, Share’s housing first director, in a news release.

The cleanup will cover a five-block radius around the facilities along Lincoln and 13th streets in downtown Vancouver. Share will provide trash bags.

Pizza Schmizza will donate pizza for a party after the cleanup.

The pizza chain donates to Share’s Hot Meals program.
