Gas prices up just in time for Labor Day travel

Gasoline prices in Vancouver rose slightly in the past week in advance of Labor Day weekend, though prices remain notably lower than the same time last year.

A survey of gasoline prices by AAA showed average prices for regular unleaded rose to $2.523 a gallon, up from $2.486 the week previous but well below $2.912 a year ago. The national average for regular unleaded rose four cents to $2.22 a gallon, while the Oregon average added 2 cents to $2.46.
