Ridgefield — The Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge will be home to a community and nature center in the future, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge want the community’s ideas for what should be at the center.

The two organizations will host the second of three community meetings to get ideas for the center from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 at A Pickled Heron Gallery, 418 Pioneer St., Ridgefield.

The meeting will look at the design of the building and how it should be used. For more information about the project, including a proposed site plan, go to www.ridgefieldcommunityandnaturecenter.com.
