A Camas man remains in satisfactory condition at an area hospital after he crashed on state Highway 14 near Camas Saturday afternoon.
Michael Zeman, 42, was driving a black 2012 Ford F150 east on the highway when he left the roadway for an unknown, according to Washington State Patrol. The crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m. just west of the downtown Camas exit.
The truck took out 146 feet of guardrail and 22 wood posts that held the guardrail before it went down an embankment, according to state patrol.
It took emergency crews two hours to rescue Zeman, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, troopers said. Zeman suffered an injured leg and was taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center where he remains in satisfactory condition.
State patrol did not indicate whether any citations were issued.
