Boater safety course scheduled for Aug. 27

Registration is open for a boating safety course beginning at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Clark County Public Works Maintenance and Operations Conference Center, 4700 N.E. 78th St., Room B-1.

Offered by Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 78 along with the U.S. Power Squadron and Clark County Marine Patrol, the class prepares students to obtain a Washington or Oregon boater safety card.

The cost is $10.
