‘Founding Mothers’ opens tonight at museum

Artist discusses process of creating 47 portraits

Artist Hilarie Couture will discuss her process of creating portraits of 47 community contributors at 6 p.m. today at the Clark County Historical Museum.

Couture’s presentation and her painting demonstration is part of the opening of “Founding Mothers: Portraits of Progress” at the museum, 1511 Main St.

There also will be an opening reception at 5 p.m.

The “Founding Mothers” exhibit is scheduled to run through the end of September.
