Vancouver – Drivers and pedestrians that use the Interstate 5 Bridge should plan for several intermittent nighttime closures during a 10-hour span starting at 10 p.m. Friday with work expected to be finished by 8 a.m. Saturday.
Both directions of the bridge will be closed occasionally as crews from the Oregon Department of Transportation perform routine maintenance on 6 miles of the bridge’s counterweight cables.
Drivers should expect delays of up to 30 minutes. Sidewalks and bike lanes will also be closed during each lift.
The I-5 Bridge is owned both by Oregon and Washington. It is operated and maintained by ODOT.
