Cape Horn – The Cape Horn Conservancy is urging hikers to avoid the Cape Horn Trail in the Columbia River Gorge between Monday and Aug. 25, while volunteers do trail maintenance.

Volunteers will move and place materials while they build a log bridge over a boggy area and stream near the trailhead.

At a minimum, visitors should expect long delays to ensure hiker safety, according to Teresa Robbins, president of the Conservancy.
